The opportunity to take a break from the stress of the NICU and engage in a fun and creative activity was truly a gift. The painting activity was super enjoyable, providing a chance to engage with other families in a positive and supportive environment. The food and drinks were also greatly appreciated, providing a much needed break, allowing us to relax and enjoy the company of others. But perhaps the most impactful part of the event was hearing the personal stories shared by some of the other families. It can be so isolating to be going through the NICU experience, and hearing from others who have been through similar struggles was both comforting and inspiring.
