It was exactly two years ago that Celeste became part of our parent-to-to parent support team at South Miami Hospital. No amount of courage, tenderness and compassion can define Celeste. She joins each family on their journey, becoming the lifeline to steady and unwavering support.

As a bilingual supporter, she is able to bridge the language barrier that often prevents Spanish speaking families from participating in the care of their babies or getting the support they may need. For two years, Celeste has been an unwavering and generous teammate and partner to the entire South Miami Hospital parent-to-parent support team and the nursing staff.

It is because of her intelligent and loving care that we are all better at what we do. It is an honor and pleasure to congratulate Celeste as our ICU baby Volunteer of the Quarter.
