We are excited to share that this year in May we hosted Mother’s Day and Father’s Day event in person with our NICU families of UM/Jackson Memorial’s Holtz Children’s Hospital and Baptist Health System’s South Miami Hospital.

We hosted a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day event (in person!) with our NICU families of UM/Jackson Memorial’s Holtz Children’s Hospital and Baptist Health System’s South Miami Hospital.

Our mission for the event was to unite parents who have a critically ill or premature baby and honor them during this special time of year. We know that any holiday spent in the NICU is often even more emotionally challenging for parents and these two special days are no exception. We aimed to make it a much brighter time for them by recognizing the challenging medical journey they experience, offering emotional support in a group setting and surprising them with a delicious meal and meaningful gifts. We unified both special days and called our celebration ICU baby’s Parents Day.
