Santa came early in 2020 for dozens of NICU families at Holtz Children’s Hospital/Jackson…. The pandemic forced ICU baby to get creative on how to make this holiday season even more special, while not being able to visit the hospital in person.
Parents attended our “gift pick-up” event at a nearby donor’s warehouse office where they were greeted by the ICU baby Team and tables of gifts. ICU baby provided outfits and blankets for the NICU babies and McGlannon School donated toys for the siblings and gift cards for the parents. It was an invaluable opportunity for ICU baby’s Tele-Support Team of volunteers to meet the families in person and put a name to a face after months of supporting them on the phone during their NICU journey.
Thanks to Zerofractal for providing the meeting place and the McGlannon School for their contributions.
