Meaningful Meals
ICU baby’s Meaningful Meals – Supper of Support and Cuisine & Crafts – are catered meals designed specifically to unite families of an admitted NICU baby so that they can support each other.
The meals are catered and are served in-hopsital in close proximity to the NICU. Parents are invited to stay for the duration of the event or join only for a quick bite, depending on their needs at the time. ICU baby’s Meaningful Meals have created parent-to-parent bonds that have helped in the NICU and continued even after discharge.
Cuisine & Crafts
Family members of a NICU baby join ICU baby volunteers for a catered lunch just outside of the Unit. Guests are encouraged to tap in to their creative side and participate in a craft project, like painting a canvas or keepsake box for their baby.
Lunch & Learn
ICU baby brings together families with an admitted baby for a bite to each and to share the NEST program (NICU Empowerment Support Tools). Families that attend the lunch receive a NEST Book and milestone cards, while ICU baby’s Director of Programs and Education, Leah MG Jayanetti, explores the NEST program with them.
Supper of Support
ICU baby serves a monthly dinner to all families visiting their baby in the NICU. This is an opportunity for parents to take a break from the stressors of the NICU without being away from their baby for too long or having to pay for a hospital meal.
