A reunion celebrating life… More than 100 NICU “graduates” returned to Holtz Children’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial Medical Center with their families for a Luau Party in December. The NICU Reunion is an annual celebration for all former NICU families and those with babies still in the hospital. The NICU graduates in attendance ranged from several months to 20 years old! Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, face painting and other activities. It was an opportunity for families to thank their medical teams for saving their babies’ lives and for doctors and nurses to see their little miracles again.
ICU baby was honored to be a part of the event. The organization raffled a party rental package and the winner happened to be a recent beneficiary of ICU baby support! It was an emotional evening for ICU baby volunteers to see so many families supported by the projects return with their little ones. It was also an evening of hope for the families whose baby is still admitted and in the midst of their NICU battle.
