St. Agnes Academy’s 7th Grade

St. Agnes Academy’s 7th Grade collectively prepared 50 NICU Packs to be distributed bedside by ICU baby in-hospital volunteers to NICU families at Holtz Children’s Hospital at UM/Jackson Memorial Medical Center. Student volunteers wrapped breast milk coolers, affixed NICU term sheets to NICU journals, tied bows around swaddle blankets and prepared the rest of the items to load into the tote bags.

Thirteen year old Lily Lundeberg spent 3 months in the NICU and was one of the 7th graders packing bags. The volunteer event for her was a chance for her to share that she was a NICU baby and to express gratitude for the care that she was given.
