Supper of Support

Project Description

ICU baby provides a monthly dinner for all families visiting their baby in the NICU at South Miami Hospital and Jackson Memorial’s Holtz Children’s Hospital.  This is an opportunity for parents to take a break without having to leave the NICU floor and be away from their baby for too long or pay for a hospital meal.

The Supper of Support also gives parents a chance to meet other NICU families that can directly relate to what they are going through as they each navigate their own NICU journey with their baby(s).  Many of the Suppers of Support organically become informal support groups between the parents as they relax and even smile, if only for a few minutes, as they share their story with others. Each dinner is sponsored by a local restaurant or donor.
